Nothing scares a loser more than a winner… nothing irritates him/her more, infuriates him/her more, or incites jealousy in him/her more than an individual who’s body/soul/ and intellect need no constant outside stimulation to shine, attract, or illuminate more than theirs could ever do because of their fear to let go of their never ending need to be just like everybody else and truly be unique. So If u take offense to the beauty and attractive power of the quiet guy standing alone by the campfire with a mysterious but knowing smirk on his face, while the rest are downing shots, puking, and falling all over the place, I guess I’m talking to u… peace!

I am a walking contradiction of traditions some say. An African American and Native American Muslim poet with a personal life history as violently turbulent as a Storm. A visionary from the bottom of life’s social barrel striving to share the hope found in the light of faith through sometimes dark but real poetry. I’m a former member of the Bloods street gang, former serial bank robber, and both federal/state prison convict. I live on my mother’s tribal reservation of the Leech Lake band of Ojibwe in Minnesota.
