Multi-faceted

I said it first in part, but now I’ll go in a little bit more thorough so u don’t blow a gasket ok. There’s no such thing as a one-sided ruby my friend. What… I’m not precious, stunning, or real because I can be rotated so all my various sides can be seen? Is ur world so perfectly square, colorless, and boring? Some facets of mine shine deadly red in the light… like Danger! While other shades are more morose, gloomy, and somber. I guarantee u this though my very surreal appraisers, I’m worth more than u’ll ever surmise or be able to appreciate. Especially if u set the bar which is situated on the earth, all the way up to the heavens with the angels… I ain’t made it there yet… but neither have u so…

I am a walking contradiction of traditions some say. An African American and Native American Muslim poet with a personal life history as violently turbulent as a Storm. A visionary from the bottom of life’s social barrel striving to share the hope found in the light of faith through sometimes dark but real poetry. I’m a former member of the Bloods street gang, former serial bank robber, and both federal/state prison convict. I live on my mother’s tribal reservation of the Leech Lake band of Ojibwe in Minnesota.
