I fell in love for one day lol… And Then it passed, and once again Pack was sitting passive as if the ordeal had never happened. Strange what desire will make foolish people do Chris Isaak wrote… How very true… When a quiet soul burns to be heard it’s like the world’s soaked in gasoline and just waiting to be touched by it’s eager hands…How very bright and fierce is the fire of such an emotional outburst. Furious! Blind, crazy, and hungry for a reciprocated connection. Feeding on all it can until there’s nothing left of it but a smoldering cinder… A dying yet still smoking red coal of what makes us human… Our need for eachother. Oh, what beautiful misery!

I am a walking contradiction of traditions some say. An African American and Native American Muslim poet with a personal life history as violently turbulent as a Storm. A visionary from the bottom of life’s social barrel striving to share the hope found in the light of faith through sometimes dark but real poetry. I’m a former member of the Bloods street gang, former serial bank robber, and both federal/state prison convict. I live on my mother’s tribal reservation of the Leech Lake band of Ojibwe in Minnesota.
