Although it’s been a struggle, pain has given me a drive and resolve to beat the odds no one can take from me. I don’t need those who bite thier finger tips in an envious rage because im able by God’s grace to manage without being high, drunk, or like some superficial robot doing what everyone is doing to recognize my inner and outter accomplishments in order to give them value or validity….I’m following my own will…not the crowd’s like many do. And I’m grateful for anyone who’s turned away from me because i refused to relent on the life saving principles ive adopted as my own. U make my walk easier not harder…to u be ur path and to me be mine. I dont need u to believe in me…i believe in myself. Pack Redfeather

I am a walking contradiction of traditions some say. An African American and Native American Muslim poet with a personal life history as violently turbulent as a Storm. A visionary from the bottom of life’s social barrel striving to share the hope found in the light of faith through sometimes dark but real poetry. I’m a former member of the Bloods street gang, former serial bank robber, and both federal/state prison convict. I live on my mother’s tribal reservation of the Leech Lake band of Ojibwe in Minnesota.
